- 200 grams of spaghetti
- Water
- Salt
- One and a half cups of whipping cream
- A cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- Two finely minced garlic cloves
- Black pepper
- Nutmeg (optional)
- Olive oil
- finely chopped fresh parsley
Preparation
Step 1. Cook
The first thing you should do is boil water and add the pasta there so that it cooks between 8 and 10 minutes. Once the pasta is done, strain it and reserve a little water from cooking the pasta.
Step 2. Make sauce
In a frying pan, heat olive oil and pour the garlic there to fry them. After a minute, lower the heat and add the butter; as soon as it has melted, add the cream and beat well to incorporate the ingredients. Let this sauce reduce over medium low heat for a few seconds. Season with pepper, nutmeg and mix again. After 6 or 7 minutes, when the sauce has thickened a bit, add the grated cheese and mix. Once the cheese melts, add the spaghetti along with a little of the cooking water. Add parsley on top, stir and rectify the taste to see if it needs salt. Ready, this Alfredo pasta will be ready and asking you to eat it now.
