Menopause at 30, how so?

Although women often refer to menopause as a joke even when they are very young, it may not always be the case. The reality is that hormonal conditions like this are not strictly the same in all women, so there are certain key symptoms that could indicate premature menopause. Then we tell you everything…

Quite different symptoms such as tachycardia, insomnia, vaginal dryness, joint pain and depression, among others, could be signs of early menopause, which, although rare, is not entirely ruled out, as warned by the renowned gynecologist and EsSaludo obstetrician, Milagros Sánchez. The specialist also stated that menopause is a process through which ovulation and hormonal production of the ovary cease and, consequently, people with a uterus stop menstruating.

It often happens between the ages of 45 and 50.

According to Dr. Sánchez, this condition affects 1 in 100 women under 40 years of age, which can be caused by external or congenital factors.

It has also been reported that 50% of people with this condition can recover normal ovarian function. However, one of the main concerns of premature menopause is the inability to become pregnant in the future.

Additionally, there are mood changes such as depression, anxiety and decreased libido.

For this reason, it is advisable to frequently consult a trusted gynecologist in order to obtain an early diagnosis and adequate advice regarding this condition.
