The mere fact of naming this sauce immediately takes us to Italy and its flavors, however, what you did not know is that each region has its own recipe. Here we share a very traditional one.
How to make bolognese sauce?
Also known as meat ragout, this is the ideal recipe to accompany pasta such as spaghetti. Also, you can freeze it.

Ingredients
- 400g ground beef
- 1 carrot diced
- ½ onion, chopped
- 1 branch of chopped celery
- 50g extra virgin olive oil
- 1 glass of red wine (optional)
- 800g tomato paste or puree (preferably passata style)
- Salt
- Pepper
Preparation
Step 1. Brown the chopped vegetables
In a large pot, pour the olive oil, then sauté the chopped carrot, onion, and celery until golden brown.
Step 2. Add the meat
Add the 400 g of ground beef to the vegetables and crush it with the help of a wooden spoon to separate it. Add salt and pepper to taste. Let cook for 10 minutes.
Step 3. Add the wine
In the pot with the vegetables and meat, pour the glass of wine, stir and cook for 10 more minutes.
Step 4. Add the tomato puree
Pour all the tomato paste and stir so that it is integrated with the meat and vegetables.
Step 5. Cook for an hour
Lower the heat, cover the pot leaving a small space and cook for an hour over low heat, stirring occasionally.
