Twiggy’s eyes made history. Here’s a tutorial from the ’60s model, in which she explains step by step how to achieve her cheeky look.
The English supermodel, actress and singer Lesley Hornby (Lawson, by her married name), better known as Twiggy, was perhaps the first super model of history. While still a teenager, she managed to become the best-known model in the world during the 1960s.
Beyond the miniskirt, which she popularized, and the short slicked-back hair, it was her face that we remember today, especially her eyes; not for nothing was called “the face of 1966” by the English press. His eye makeup was achieved with some great false eyelashes, but it wasn’t his only secret. We discovered a tutorial published in a magazine of the time… Follow the step by step and copy its retro style!
Step 1: Apply white shadow all over the eyelid. With a brush and dark shadow, outline the arch that joins the fixed eyelid with the mobile one.
Step 2: Wear eyeliner, essential for this look.
Step 3: Put on your false eyelashes…
Step 4: Using a brush and/or eyeliner, draw and fluff up the lower lashes, giving them a ‘doll eye’ look.
And if you don’t want to -or can’t- wear false eyelashes, don’t worry, we share with you a tutorial by the charismatic Ana Bermúdez, in which she explains how to achieve the look Twiggy only with eyelash… Do not miss it!
