Surely you have noticed the differences between the way you educate your children and how your friends or family do, Do these differences mean that they do it well and you do it badly? In reality, there are different parenting styles that follow very different parenting guidelines:
rigid style
In this model obedience is very important. There are many rigid, incontrovertible and often arbitrary rules. Its compliance is understood as respect for authority and its non-compliance generates punishments.
negotiating style
Rules and limits are negotiated with the children in response to both their wishes and the concerns of the parents. Consequences for breaching the rules can also be negotiated.
Indulgent
Parents trust the decisions that their children make, they give them a lot of freedom and margin of action, they allow them to be guided by their interests and impulses. There are not many rules and non-compliance does not generate serious consequences.
situational
In this category there are no defined breeding guidelinesthe rules are not clear and vary greatly in relation to the state of mind of the parents in each particular situation.
