Ingredients
- 250 grams of peanuts peeled, raw and without salt
- 1 teaspoon of oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- half a teaspoon of salt
Preparation
Step 1. Toast
The first thing you should do is put a pan on the heat and add the peanuts to toast them a little. Flip it over so it browns on all sides for a minute or two. Then, put all the peanuts in the blender and add the half teaspoon of salt, sugar and oil. Process until all the peanuts have turned into a kind of sand. You’ll need to do this several times stirring the contents because the blades won’t grab all the peanuts at once to grind them up, so be very patient. As the peanut is pulverized, it should turn into a thick dough that will be like a spread. At that point you should stop blending. In total, this process could take between 5 and 10 minutes.
Step 2. Consume and/or reserve
Start scooping out all the peanut butter that was formed in the previous step, into a bowl or plate. At that time it will be ready to be consumed but if you want to keep it fresh to use it on other occasions, you can keep it in the refrigerator in a sterilized glass jar.
