One of the big problems with oily skin is impurities, open pores, and shine on the nose, forehead, and chin. They are problems that can arise from the excessive accumulation of fat; however, there are viable solutions to control this type of skin. For this reason, before beginning to consider alternatives to reduce oiliness in the skin, it is important to take into consideration the advantages of oily skin: it contains greater elasticity, it resists wrinkles and the damaging effects of the sun for a longer time, and it is more easy to treat dry skin.

Although there are several products that help control oily skin, such as cleansers and toners, most have chemical elements that affect our health. For this reason we share a series of natural recommendations to care for oily skin:

– Before applying any product, try to keep your skin clean. Oily skin attracts bacteria and dirt, making it prone to acne and blackheads. To keep the complexion clean, wash it twice a day with lukewarm water and, before finishing, rinse with cold water to close the pores.

– Virgin olive oil. This type of oil regulates the sebaceous glands so they produce less oil. You can put some olive oil after washing your face at night.

– Orange juice. Drinking a glass of orange juice daily for two weeks will reduce skin oiliness and improve nutrient absorption for healthier skin.

– Hamamelis or wonder water. It’s an excellent solution for oily skin: mix one part witch hazel and rose water; apply with a cotton pad to remove fat from the face. No need to rinse.

– Potato mask. Boil a potato, mash it and add two tablespoons of milk, bread crumbs and a few drops of lemon. Smear it on your face and let it sit for 20 minutes. Rinse with cold water.

– Rosemary mask. Grind dried rosemary leaves, mix them with a tablespoon of honey and an egg yolk. Apply all over face and neck, let sit for 20 minutes, then wash off with warm water.

– Face mask with 1 egg white, 1 tomato, 1 tablespoon of brewer’s yeast, 1 cup of water, 3 dried bay leaves; make a tea with the water and the bay leaf, let it stand until it cools down; Prepare the white until stiff, adding the peeled and crushed tomato, and add the yeast along with the two tablespoons of bay leaf tea. Stir and apply it on oily areas with a brush, leave it for 15 minutes. Wash your face with bay leaf tea.

– Oatmeal mask. Mix a stiff egg white, lemon juice and oats to form a paste. Apply it and let it sit for 10 minutes. Wash with cold water.
