7 natural hair treatments

Did you know that avocado fats are the closest thing to those that make up our skin? Or that the acid in lemon is a much gentler alternative to your hair than most of the chemical products on the market? The next time your hair looks dull or needs a little help, try one of these Mother Nature Work recipes that you can make with ingredients from your own kitchen.

For all types of hair

The raw egg is one of the best ingredients for hair. The yolk is rich in fat and protein and is a natural moisturizer; use it for dry hair. The white contains enzymes that kill bacteria and remove excess fat; excellent for oily hair. The whole egg works for normal hair.

Apply it and leave it for 20 minutes. Rinse with cold water (do not cook it) and use your usual shampoo.

The whites can be applied every 2 weeks, while the yolk or whole egg only once a month.

For dull hair

Many products (in addition to air pollution) dull and dry out hair. The best remedy: yogurt.

Apply half a cup of yogurt and leave it for 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water, then with cold water. Then use your shampoo as usual. You can use it for a week yes, one week no.

For dry scalp

Mix two tablespoons of lemon juice, two of olive oil and two of water. Apply with a scalp massage. The acid in the lemon helps remove bits of skin, while the oil moisturizes the scalp.

for fine hair

Leave half a cup of beer in a container for a couple of hours. Add a tablespoon of sunflower or canola oil and a raw egg. Apply to clean hair, leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse. Brewer’s yeast will help you gain volume.

Another option is to spray the rested beer with a spray bottle. When the liquid evaporates, the protein residues will give your hair strength and shape.

Use it one week yes, one no.

For dry or sun damaged hair

The iron, exposure to the sun and hot water dry out the hair. Honey is a natural moisturizer.

Rub half a cup of honey with a finger massage, leave it for 20 minutes and then rinse. You can add a tablespoon or two of olive oil to detangle the hair and to make the application easier.

If the damage to the hair is very severe, try adding a tablespoon or two of avocado or egg yolk to the honey, which will help you recover the protein bonds that destroy UV rays.

Apply it once a month.

For oily hair

Pour a tablespoon of flour or cornstarch into an empty salt shaker and spray on dry hair until empty. After 10 minutes, use a brush to remove the dust. Apply it every third day.

For hair with frizz

Apply half a mashed avocado, massage, let it rest for 15 minutes and rinse. Enhance the effect with one or two tablespoons of cream, egg or mayonnaise (excellent moisturizers). Avocado contains the best combination of nutrients to give hair softness. Use it every 2 weeks.
