Originally from Bukovina, the breed was primarily used as a livestock guardian dog.
The Ciobanesc Românesc de Bucovina is a real Romanian. He is big, strong and brave. Even predators don’t stand a chance against the giant. In case of danger, he draws attention to himself with his loud barking.

2. Ciobanesc Romanesc Corb

The Ciobanesc Romanesc Corb may alternatively be referred to as the Romanian Raven Shepherd Dog or just simply «Corbi». The Romanian dog breed owes its German name to its pitch-black coat color.
The breed originally comes from the meridional Carpathians and Subcarpathians. They have historically been used as guard dogs, herding dogs, and herding dogs.
