5 natural remedies to relieve eye irritation

After spending long hours in front of electronic devices and a large amount of pollution, it can happen that the eyes end up becoming irritated. It is this redness that inflames the blood vessels in the lining of the eye, causing a subconjunctival hemorrhage. The sensation can become annoying and even tend to get worse. To reduce discomfort there are a number of natural remedies to soothe the eyes:

Honey. It contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, being considered one of the best remedies to reduce symptoms of burns and irritations. They help fight ocular microorganisms, reducing pain and itching. 3 tablespoons of honey and 1/2 cup of warm water are enough: dilute the three tablespoons of pure honey in half a cup of warm water, let it cool and apply a few drops to the eye with cotton.

Chamomile tea bags. Its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties help reverse eye discomfort. It also diminishes the appearance of dark circles and bags. Soak a couple of chamomile tea bags in lukewarm water and apply to closed eyelids for ten minutes.

Potatoes. Degests inflammation and redness in the eyes, so it helps the general rest of the eyes. Just put a couple of slices of potatoes and apply them on the closed eyelids during the ten minutes.

Cucumber. It has a high amount of water and antioxidants that help reduce inflammation and increase circulation to soothe discomfort. Follow the same process as the potatoes.

Turmeric. Fight microorganisms that cause eye infections, eliminating inflammation, itching and redness. 2 teaspoons of turmeric and 1 glass of water are required. Dilute the two teaspoons of turmeric in the glass of water and apply the liquid all over the eye area.
