Our stomach produces gastric acids to help digest food, this means that heartburn is a normal condition of our body. What is not normal is that we notice it. When the acid rises through the gastric tube we can identify a burning sensation in the chest and throat and that is when it is said that we have reflux or heartburn. Most of the time heartburn is caused by overeating and/or lying down immediately after eating, although there are other conditions in which they occur more frequently, such as pregnancy. We share five drinks that will help you reduce the feeling of heartburn:
1. Ginger tea. Ginger is one of the oldest heartburn remedies and can bring relief almost immediately. Just add a teaspoon of grated ginger to a cup of boiling water, steep for a few minutes, strain, and drink.
2. The aloe juice. Aloe vera is a very noble medicinal plant that can help us alleviate many digestive ailments such as inflammation, acidity and slow transit. Take a piece of aloe vera of approximately 10 cm and blend it with water or fruit juice (in this case not citrus).
3. Anise tea. Anise is a great digestive that can also help counteract gastric acid. In addition to being effective, its taste is very pleasant. You can get the infusion in a sachet or add a handful of anise seeds to boiling water and strain before drinking.
4. The yogurt. Yogurt is an antacid par excellence that can provide relief very quickly. In addition, consuming it frequently could also help you prevent heartburn.
