1. Clean your jewelry
Use an old toothbrush to apply a small amount of toothpaste to your jewelry, especially silver (rings, bracelets and chains) and rub gently. Rinse with water and then admire the shine. They are like new.
2. Clean your sports shoes
This tip is ideal for the white rubber of sneakers and other types of semi-athletic shoes: clean or rub the surface with toothpaste, then rinse. Your sneakers will look almost new.

3. Clean the dishwasher, sink and your faucets
Just like commercial cleaners with fine abrasives like VIM or Cif, gel-free toothpaste will clean and shine your sinks and faucets. Sprinkle about ½ teaspoon on a damp cloth and use to clean. Rinse with water. A chrome faucet can be polished with a dry cloth instead of being rinsed. Toothpaste is also great for removing odors in the dishwasher.
4. Remove dirt and scratches from walls
No need to worry about crayon marks – put a small amount of non-gel toothpaste on a rag and rub over the wall art (i.e. pencil marks). After removing it, wipe the wall with a damp cloth to remove toothpaste.
5. Stop itching from insect bites
If you are spending the afternoon on the patio and you live in the mountains, in the countryside or on the beach, mosquitoes can be a real problem. If you were bitten by mosquitoes, you can avoid the itching with your toothpaste. Ingredients like menthol and baking soda help relieve itching and swelling (make sure your toothpaste has these before applying). The astringent effect of toothpaste helps draw fluids under the skin. Apply a thin layer and let dry. If you have sensitive skin and your toothpaste contains a lot of other ingredients, try a wrist allergy test first.
6. Treat a ripe pimple
Toothpaste on a pimple is a folk remedy. Similar to bug bites, it draws out the fluid and dries it out in 24 hours. apply toothpaste that is not in gel or whitening before you go to sleep. Note: this works best on pimples that have reached a critical pointand not on the pimples that you couldn’t help but break or that have burst.
7. Prevent your eyeglasses and sunglasses from fogging up
You can prevent your glasses from fogging up by applying gel-free toothpaste to the inside of the lens. You should clean with a damp cloth. This tip is particularly useful in these times when we must wear masks since our glasses usually fog up if we wear face shields.
8. Deodorize containers or hands
From sour milk in baby bottles and musty-smelling beverage containers to hands that smell of garlic or fish, toothpaste is a great deodorant. Smear a little on the offending area, then rinse. It even removes the smell of paraffin.
9. Remove watermarks on wood
Did someone forget to use a coaster on your wooden table? Remove the ring-shaped watermark with white toothpaste. Apply toothpaste to a dry cloth and gently rub it across the stain. Depending on the size of the stain, it will lighten or disappear completely.
10. Remove scratches from sunglasses, eyeglasses, cell phone screens, and tablets.
Don’t get rid of your scratched glasses or change your phone screen without first trying this trick. Apply the toothpaste to a cotton ball or pad and gently rub it into the scratch in a circular motion for at least 10 seconds. Rinse with water in the case of lenses, and in the case of screens, remove with a slightly damp cloth and repeat until the scratches disappear. Lego polish with a dry, lint-free cloth.
